KALE is an association for all education leaders in Kent.
Our work is led by serving education leaders. We aim to ensure that the voice of education leaders is heard and informs developments in the Kent education system.
One of the ways we do this is through a model of representative leaders elected by their peers who serve as members of Area Boards and the Executive Board.
Area Boards comprise representation from schools, colleges and settings across each of the areas of Kent. They facilitate connectivity between the numerous local networks that exist within each area and focus on sector-wide, cross-phase conversations about shared issues, contextualised by the specific priorities of the area. Additionally they ensure that the full range of perspectives and issues can be captured from our large and diverse county.
Executive Board comprises the Chairs of the Area Boards and Priority Project Groups and Chairs of other countywide sector-led groups (such as KSENT (Kent Special Educational Needs Trust) and KGA (Kent Grammar Association). The Board is responsible for the strategic direction of KALE.
In addition to the KALE Boards, colleagues may opt to join Priority Project Groups or Community of Practice Groups.

Community of Practice Groups which enable leaders with shared areas of responsibility and interest to come together to share practice, provide mutual support, tackle shared challenges and collaborate on emerging issues.
