Welcome to the SEND and Inclusion Community of Practice Group
The group is a countywide forum of school leaders, including Headteachers, Trust leaders and SENCOs from mainstream and academy schools, PRUs and SRPs.
We meet 6 times a year to talk about the key issues, share experience and expertise.
We take action to gather views from the KALE community and share these with KCC members and officers to ensure that planning and evaluation is informed by the insight and experiences of school leaders.
The group will often undertake various pieces of task and finish work with a focus on improving outcomes for the young people in Kent.
SEND is one of KALE’s 3 strategic priorities for 2026/27 and this group will link directly to the project steering group. Read more about our priority work here.
